One common misconception about the soccer community is that young Goalkeepers do not need Goalkeeper Training. This is COMPLETELY untrue. Think of this: Would we say that young outfield players (forwards, midfielders, and defenders) do not need soccer training?! Of course not!
Young Goalkeepers need to get Goalkeeper Training for the following reasons:
1) Great habits can stick with them for their careers, and can eliminate and correct bad habits and techniques at a very young age/good habits and techniques can last for a lifetime
2) Young goalkeepers need to learn the rules associated with playing the position of Goalkeeper
3) Young goalkeepers need to learn proper techniques to make the position more FUN (for any sport, increased success = more enjoyment and more fun!) and prevent injury from improper techniques. For example, diving incorrectly can cause injury, especially as you get older, and put improper wear on gloves
4) Young goalkeepers need to learn proper positioning and distribution techniques to support their team in possession and in the attack
The camp covers major and fundamental aspects of Goalkeeping, including but not limited to:
Set position, Basic Handling, Diving for Low and High balls, 1 v 1/Breakaway Saves, Distribution Techniques, Rules of the Game, Overall Stop Stopping, and more!
Sibling discount ($10) per child over 2 OR Teammate discounts ($5 per player, Same Age group Team AND Club Team). These discounts would be refunded to you after completed payment.
